Apply for a library card.
Ho-Ho-Kus residents are entitled to a free library card, valid at all 77 BCCLS libraries, upon proof of residency. To apply for a card, please visit the Circulation Desk with a current form of ID bearing your Ho-Ho-Kus address. Accepted forms of identification include a driver's license, utility bill, and rent or mortgage statement/lease. Children under 18 are entitled to a card with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. You may also begin the application process online, but a follow-up visit to the library is required before your card is ready for use.
Individuals who work, own property, or go to school in Ho-Ho-Kus but live in a town without a BCCLS library are entitled to a free "courtesy card". Temporary residents such as au pairs may also be entitled to a courtesy card. Please call or stop by for details.
Lost library cards may be replaced for a nominal fee of $3.00. Cards are valid for three years, and may be renewed for free with proof of continued residency.
