Will you be our Friend?
The library is in the final stages of assembling candidates for the initial Friends of the Library group. We would like to be as inclusive as possible so that we get a broad spectrum of talent, intellect and ingenuity. If you are interested in being part of this formative group, please reach out to Library Director Gretchen Kaser. In particular we are looking for those who, in addition to a passion for the library, may have experience in obtaining 501(c)3 status and bylaws writing, as well as those who may have experience in or be familiar with construction, finance, technology, and marketing.
Friends leverage their unique interests and skills to help promote the library and its programs in the local community. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, they also conduct fundraising throughout the year to help make special events, such as author visits and the children's summer reading program, possible.
